Sowing to Early?

Have I started seeds off too early?
Each year i tell myself i wont start any seeds off until march /april – last three years totally ignored my own advice and started sowing early each year.
This year i had a small plastic greenhouse inside my Polytunnel and i bought a small paraffin heater to go inside it .

Couldnt resist the temptation when they arrived so started sowing seeds :o(

21st Jan –
French Beans : Onions : Cauliflower and Tomatoes were started
This is them on 11th March

[ngg src=”galleries” ids=”18″ display=”basic_thumbnail”]Then on the 12th Feb i started Calabrese Beetroot Spring Onions and Cabbage . Also some flowers for the ‘companion planting’ idea for this year using Marigold and Nastursium and Sweet Peas just because they are nice !!!!!!!

[ngg src=”galleries” ids=”19″ display=”basic_thumbnail”]End of Feb i was given 6 seeds from a fellow allotmenteer these are expensive but supposed to be a superb Brussel Sprout – they are called Igor – so had to plant those as well !

[ngg src=”galleries” ids=”20″ display=”basic_thumbnail”]Moving into March i started more seeds of the same off – the idea this year is to do succession planting – I will be trying to fill one raised bed with a variety of Veg , then a few weeks later fill another bed and so on. I saw a youtube video (well several really ) from Charles Dowding – he is well know for his ‘No Dig ‘ garden, i dont quite do the ‘No dig’ but when you look at his videos his planting is close together and varied in each of his areas – thats my target for 2019. (example here
So i started off more Calabrese , Cauliflower, Cabbage, Sprouts, Beet Onions, Spring Onions, Tomatoes and Peas

Onions, Broccoli and Beet

Will just have to see how things work out over the next few weeks .
